Jing Wang
Senior Vice President, International Strategic & Regulatory Affairs and Chairman of Asia Pacific Strategic Committee, QUALCOMM


Mr. Wang works directly with QUALCOMM's international management teams to develop strategies for adoption of CDMA in key international markets (with particular emphasis on China and other parts of the Asia Pacific region), as well as coordination of government relationships. He also works closely with the legal department to assist with various international commercial agreements.

Jing Wang also serves as a Director on the Boards of Directors of both Qualcomm Wireless Communication Technologies (China) Ltd. and Qualcomm Wireless Semi-Conductor Technologies Ltd., two wholly foreign owned enterprises duly established in China.

Prior to joining QUALCOMM, Jing Wang served as Counsel-International law and Director of Asia Practice Group for over twelve years at the law firm of Reed Smith, LLP, where he represented many prominent corporations (including QUALCOMM) in handling legal and regulatory issues involved in business transactions in the Asia Pacific region.

Jing Wang is recognized as a leading expert on international and Chinese law and on all aspects of doing business in Asia/China. His expertise is in the areas of international commercial transactions, foreign-Chinese joint ventures, international trade law and government and regulatory affairs in Asia. He has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law and Lecturer of Law at universities in the Washington DC area. He has also authored and co-authored several books and numerous articles on international commercial agreements, foreign investment in China, international arbitration and international technology transfer.

Jing Wang received his LL.M from the People's University of China, Department of Law and an LL.M from the University of Virginia School of Law.
