Tej Bunnag
Ambassador of Thailand to the United States
Before being appointed as the Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, Dr.
Tej served in the same function in the People's Republic of China, the Democratic
People's Republic of Korea, and France following a distinguished career in foreign
affairs. In addition, he is also Thailand's Permanent Representative to the United
Nations Office, Geneva and UNESCO. Dr. Tej has received numerous awards and decorations,
most recently he was named Knight Commander (Second Class, lower grade) of the
Most Illustrious Order of Chula Chom Lao and Grand Officier de l'Ordre Nationale
du Merite, France. Dr. Tej holds a Minor Scholar from Malvern College, U.K., an
Exhibitioner, B.A. from King's College, Cambridge University, and a D. Phil from
St. Anthony's College, Oxford.
