Wang Yunxiang
Consul General of the People's Republic of China in San Francisco


Born in Heilongjiang Province of China in January, 1942 and a university graduate , Mr. Wang Yunxiang had served as :

1966 -- 1972 Staff member in the Bureau of Agricultural Machinery of Heilongjiang Province, China;
1972 -- 1978 Attache of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Malta;
1978 -- 1984 Staff Member, Deputy Director of the Information Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China;
1984 -- 1988 First Secretary, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Uganda;
1988 -- 1990 Counselor of the Department of West European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the People's Republic of China;
1990 -- 1991 Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in the Kingdom of Norway;
1991 -- 1996 Counselor, Deputy Director General of the Information Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China;
1996 -- 1999 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Zambia.

The Hon. Wang Yunxiang was appointed Consul General ( Rank of Ambassador) of the People's Republic of China in San Francisco in August, 1999.
