California-Asia Business Council presents
US-Vietnam Dialogue Group
Friday, April 16, 2010

In 2010, Vietnam marks four important events: the 1,000th anniversary of the founding of Hanoi; the 35th anniversary of the end of the war with the United States; the 15th anniversary of U.S.-Vietnam diplomatic relations; and Vietnam’s chairing of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Cal-Asia is delighted that a group of high profile leaders from Vietnam, members of the US-Vietnam Dialogue Group on Agent Orange/Dioxin, will join us on Friday, April 16. The dialogue group is headed by Ambassador Ngo Quang Xuan, who led Vietnam's successful WTO negotiations and continues his public service as a member of Vietnam's National Assembly. He is joined by Prof. Dr. Vo Quy, an internationally recognized environmental leader. Dr. Vo Quy has dedicated most of his life to helping save Vietnam's natural environment, guided by the pragmatic philosophy "preservation for development." He is also a cofounder of the Hanoi National University.
