Breakfast briefing: Join Cal-Asia, the US Commercial Service, US Small Business Administration and the Consulate General of Singapore at a breakfast briefing with His Excellency Ashok Kumar Mirpuri, Singapore's Ambassador to the United States, at San Francisco's elegant Four Seasons Hotel.
Ambassador Mirpuri will discuss a range of topics including a look at the critical value derived from the US-Singapore Free Trade Agreement and what's ahead for the pending TransPacific Partnership (TPP). Singapore is an original signatory of the existing TransPacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (TransPacific SEP) -- along with New Zealand, Brunei and Chile -- which can be considered a precursor of the TPP.
Singapore has long been one of the top ten trading partners for California and many California companies, of all sizes, have chosen Singapore for their Asia headquarters. Known for transparency and ease of doing business, Singaporean companies have also led the way into more complex international markets through the business park model
Event starts at 8:30 a.m., followed by comments from the Ambassador and roundtable discussion. Continental breakfast will be served at the elegant Four Seasons Hotel. Event is sponsored by California-Asia Business Council, Consulate General of Singapore, US Commercial Service, US Small Business Administration.
